New dad Gil Solano won the Internet big-time on Monday with this goofy selfie of his cheesy grin while his wife, Sarah, is clearly exerting herself by, you know, GIVING BIRTH TO THEIR DAUGHTER in the background.
Solano uploaded the photo to Reddit, where he captioned it: “my wife wanted to make sure that someone took a picture of the expression on our faces when our daughter was born today. So I took one.”
Luckily for Solano, his wife has a sense of humor even when she is pushing a tiny human out of her hoo-hah. “I showed it to her between pushes and she cracked up. Now I’m reading her all of you guys comments while she feeds our healthy 7lb 6 oz girl,” he said in the Reddit comments.
I have to admit, Solano’s selfie cracked ME up too! Gotta love a little childbirth humor…if you can’t administer pain killers, the least you can do is make that mama laugh!
Solano later posted on Facebook: “Eva Nell Solano was born at 2:09 pm without any complications. She’s a healthy 7lb 6oz baby girl who’s as pretty as her mother. Thanks to everyone for their prayers and well wishes, I promise to post pictures tomorrow. We love all of y’all!”
